Qualifying items from your order can be returned within 30 days if you are not happy with your purchase.

To begin the returns process, please fill out and submit a request using the returns form by clicking the button below.



About returns

  • At this time, Hey Chickadee does not offer direct exchanges. Instead, the item can be returned for a refund, and a new order may be placed for a different size or color.
  • Items marked 'FINAL SALE' on the product page are not eligible for returns.
  • Returns sent without our prior approval will not be accepted and may not be refunded. 
  • The customer is responsible for any return shipping costs unless the item is damaged or incorrect.
  • If you received a damaged or defective item, please provide a photo of the item(s) when filling out the returns form so we may verify the damage
  • If you received an incorrect item, please provide a photo of the item(s) incorrectly received when filling out the returns from. We recommend referring to your packing slip or confirmation email to confirm that the item received does not match what was ordered.
  • If an incorrect item or size was received, please be sure to properly indicate this in the form where required instead of in the notes section so your request can be efficiently and correctly processed.
  • Hey Chickadee only accepts returns on unwashed clothing items with any tags or labels still attached. Returns sent in washed or worn conditions will not be accepted and may not be refunded

While any additional notes submitted with a returns request will be read, we are unable to respond directly to any messages or questions through the returns form. If you have any questions about an order that requires additional correspondence, please consider contacting us for more assistance before submitting a return request.

Refund process

Refunds can only be issued to the original payment method. Refunds cannot be issued to a different method than was originally used at checkout. For more information on refunds, please see here.

Refunds for returns will be issued once the returning product(s) have been received in our returns mailbox and processed through the returns form. You should receive an automated email notification when your return has been successfully processed, but please not that your bank or credit card holder may require 1 to 7 days to process the refund and for it to correctly appear on any statements.

If for some reason, the original method of payment is no longer available or valid, we can offer to refund the amount in the form of a gift card for Hey Chickadee.
